Rachel Weisz Takes On Holocaust Deniers In First Trailer For 'Denial'

We've still got plenty of blockbusters left to wade through this summer, but if you think studios aren't already gearing up for the awards season then think again. One film that's sure to thrust Rachel Weisz back into the race after being away from it for some time is Denial, a Holocaust drama that tells an unusual but true story of a woman who is forced to prove it actually happened.

The first trailer for Denial has arrived (via ThePlaylist) and this one is loaded up with talent across the board. Oscar-winner Weisz is joined by nominee Tom Wilkinson and Timothy Spall in the story of Deborah E. Lipstadt who is accused of libel by Holocaust denier David Irving and taken to court, where she is forced to prove the events took place. It's an incredible, almost unbelievable story and it's being brought to the screen by director Mick Jackson (Temple Grandin) and screenwriter David Hare (The Reader).

Denial hits theaters on September 30th.
