The pools have only begun to open up for the summer season and....there's already a trailer for a Christmas movie? That seems a bit premature, like CRAZY premature, but I guess Universal figures it's never too early to start getting ready for the holidays. They've debuted the first trailer for the ironically-titled holiday comedy, Almost Christmas, so start hanging up those stockings.
Looking like every single Christmas movie you've ever seen, the film stars Kimberly Elise, Danny Glover, John Michael Higgins, Romany Malco, Mo’Nique, JB Smoove, Gabrielle Union, Omar Epps, Nicole Ari Parker, Jessie T. Usher, and DC Young Fly. It centers on a family who are asked by their patriarch to simply get along over the holidays, and gosh darnit if it doesn't prove to be a colossal headache.
I'm sure this will be perfectly fine for those who dig this sort of thing, but to me this looks as enjoyable as receiving underwear for Christmas. Directed by David E. Talbert, Almost Christmas comes down the chimney on November 11th.
