First Look At Tom Ford's 'Nocturnal Animals' With Jake Gyllenhaal And Amy Adams
Seven years ago fashion designer Tom Ford made his directorial debut with A Single Man, a lush, breath-taking character piece that netted Colin Firth an Oscar nomination. Immediately Ford was a director to watch, but since then there has been no follow-up of any kind. Well, the wait for his new film, Nocturnal Animals, is nearly over and the first look at it has arrived.
EW has debuted the new images featuring stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams. But they are just a small part of the starry cast for the adaptation of Austin Wright's novel, Tony and Susan, which centers on a woman who is drawn into the violent fictional world of her ex-husband's new novel. Is it just a story, or a veiled threat aimed at her? Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, and Armie Hammer round out an impressive assemblage of talent.
Nocturnal Animals opens November 18th in limited release, followed by a wider run on December 9th, and clearly there are awards season expectations on this one.
