Gal Gadot Brings Power, Grace, And Wisdom On First 'Wonder Woman' Poster

Around this time tomorrow we may be talking about and analyzing the first footage from Warner Bross.' Wonder Woman, if things hold to expectations. The film fulfills many of the hopes of fans that DC's top female superhero, and one of the "holy trinity" along with Batman and Superman, will finally get a movie worthy of the character's long history. But before any of that happens we have the first official poster, and it is a thing of beauty.

"Power. Grace. Wisdom", all of the qualities that make Wonder Woman who she is are represented in this instantly-iconic image, featuring Gal Gadot as the Amazonian warrior. There were many who thought the Fast & Furious actress was an odd choice for the role (She's too thin! She's too pretty!) but that quieted down once she literally saved Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from being a complete wreck.  Check out the synopsis:

“Wonder Woman” hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Directed by Patty Jenkins with Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen co-starring, Wonder Woman opens June 2nd 2017.
