Remember Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig's Lifetime Channel spoof A Deadly Adoption? The kind of movie they were having some fun mocking is exactly what When the Bough Breaks looks like, but people keep plunking down money for this kind of cheap thriller so they'll keep getting made.
Directed by Jon Cassar (24), the film stars Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall as professional couple John and Laura, who desperately want to have a child. So they set out to hire a surrogate and decide upon Anna (Jaz Sinclair), who seems like the perfect choice to carry their child but actually ends up being a total psycho obsessed with John. Oh Hell nah!!
Also starring Theo Rossi, Michael K. Williams, and Romany Malco, When the Bough Breaks opens September 16th.
