Jessica Chastain Takes On Gun Control In First Look At 'Miss Sloane'

It didn't take long for Jessica Chastain to attain her first Oscar nominations, earning one for The Help and another for Zero Dark Thirty. And at this point she's always a threat for another one in whatever role she takes...well, except for maybe The Huntsman Winter's War. Her next chance for an actual win could come this season with Miss Sloane, a film that finds her taking on the issue of gun control.

The first look at Chastain in the John Madden-directed film has arrived, showing her as Elizabeth Sloane, a lobby trying to push a major gun control measure. As anybody who has followed the issue of guns knows, getting traction on a bill is nearly impossible but then Congress has never had to face Chastain before.

Also starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alison Pill, Jake Lacy, Sam Waterston, and John Lithgow, Miss Sloane opens December 9th.
