Being roommates with the god of thunder might sound cool but it isn't all it's cracked up to be. Last month at Comic-Con fans in Hall H were treated to a mockumentary centering on Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and what he was up to while Civil War was going down. The answer? Not a heck of a lot. Well now that short film has been made available to us all before it becomes part of the Captain America: Civil War blu-ray release features. Maybe there's a cut where all of this stuff is integrated into the story? Probably not.
The film is shot by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and is done in the same satirical style as his hit comedy, What We Do in the Shadows. Since the third Thor movie has been described as a buddy comedy involving the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, who also appears in the short), this could be a good indicator of the movie's tone. So what has Thor been doing since Avengers: Age of Ultron? Moving in with a regular guy in Australia and making his life miserable. He's leaving Mjolnir laying around the apartment, he's playing board games, he's meeting the Hulk for coffee, and he seems to be just a big jealous nobody called him to take part in the Civil War.
This is pretty funny so check it out. Captain America: Civil War hits home release on September 2nd.
