Marc Webb's 'The Only Living Boy In New York' Casts Kate Beckinsale

As the vampire Selene in the Underworld movies and the upcoming Underworld: Blood Wars, Kate Beckinsale is used to slayin' 'em dead in a literal sense. Figuratively, she'll be slayin' the hearts of a father and his son in Marc Webb's next directorial effort, The Only Living Boy in New York as THR reports she has joined the cast.

Beckinsale will star alongside Callum Turner, Jeff Bridges, and Kiersey Clemons in the film about a recent college graduate who begins a relationship with his father's mistress after first trying to split them up. She finds the son charming and has plans to remain part of the family. Allan Loeb wrote the script, which takes its title from a Simon & Garfunkel song. Fitting considering they provided much of the soundtrack to The Graduate which bears some obvious plot similarities.

Shooting should begin next month after experiencing some delays a while back. Beckinsale can be seen in theaters now in The Disappointments Room.
