There Are No Rules In First 'Fifty Shades Darker' Trailer With Dakota Johnson And Jamie Dornan

For all of the talk about how hot and steamy E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey novels were, the movie hit the big screen with all of the heat of a Jell-O Pudding Pop. While it still managed to earn $571M worldwide, the vast majority of it overseas, the film also became the butt of jokes that put other such "Mommy Porn" books on blast. Will that have a negative effect going into the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker? Or will audiences show up to see how the chaste Anastasia Steele gets tied up, literally and figuratively, in her dangerous affair with the possessive Christian Grey?

Hot on the heels of yesterday's teaser the first full trailer has arrived, promising more BDSM action than you can shake a leather flogger at. Despite their utter lack of chemistry and public dislike for one another, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are back as the sexy couple, who are dealing the complications from the past and present. Christian isn't a big fan of Anastasia's new boss, while she has issues with a woman very important to his sexual development. Seriously, can't they just fuck their problems away like any decent couple would?

Here's the official synopsis: When a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

Reason for optimism? Well, there aren't many but the addition of James Foley (Confidence) as director is a nice touch. And the cast has only gotten stronger with Kim Basinger, Hugh Dancy, Bella Heathcote and Eric Johnson joining the returning Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini.

Fifty Shades Darker opens February 10th 2017, just in time for Valentine's Day.
