Four More Actresses Rumored For Domino In 'Deadpool' Sequel
Scoring a major role as Domino in the sequel to Deadpool, one of the biggest movies of the year, is obviously a huge career move. It could be everything to an up 'n coming actress or reinvention to an established star. So far the names that have emerged as contenders has been a mix of both, and now you can add a few more to that growing shortlist.
Once again it's Collider who have the casting update, claiming (because none of this is confirmed in the least) that Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black), Kelly Rohrbach (the Baywatch remake), Eve Hewson (The Knick), and Mackenzie Davis (Bad Turn Worse) are in the mix to play the mutant assassin Domino. Davis was actually the first actress rumored for the role last summer, so her inclusion isn't anything new. You can add these names to the earlier list that included Sienna Miller, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Stephanie Sigman, Lizzy Caplan, Sofia Boutella, and Sylvia Hoeks.
Much to my surprise, I actually think Ruby Rose might be the best option of them all, just in terms of personality. Partially because of her probability-altering powers, Domino is a wildly impulsive thrill seeker and for some reason Rose seems to fit that better than the rest. We'll see what happens. It could be somebody who isn't on the list who gets the gig.
Deadpool 2 is expected to get rolling early next year for a possible release in January 2018.
