First Poster For 'Alien: Covenent" Has A Word Of Warning

The response to Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus can be described as tepid at best, and I'm probably being a little generous. But it does seem like there's been more of an open mind given to Alien: Covenant, perhaps because everything we've seen and heard suggests a much closer link to the original movies. And that definitely is the case with the first official poster, which features the classic Xenomorph and a single word of warning: 'Run."

The definitely conveys the message that this is going to be more of a stalking horror just like the original Alien was. We've been promised some new creatures and a twist on the familiar Xenomorph, so we may be seeing multiple versions of the monster.  Just how much the androids played by Michael Fassbender will have to do with that we still don't know. Actually, there's a lot we don't know about the movie at this point. Amy Seimetz, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smolett, and Carmen Ejogo co-star with Noomi Rapace briefly reprising her role as Elizabeth Shaw.

Look closely and you'll also note the film has a brand new release date, moving up three whole months to May 19th 2017.
