Unfortunately, the arrival Hulu's adaptation of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale is a little too timely. As the GOP edges closer to taking away reproductive rights from women, the story of a totalitarian future in which women are valued only for their fertility strikes way too close to home. Whether that draws in more viewers or away from it remains to be seen, but the upstart streaming service could use a controversial show or two.

Also starring Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd and O-T Fagbenle, The Handmaid's Tale hits Hulu on April 27th.
