New 'Kong: Skull Island' Trailer Brings More Action, More Apex Predators

Other than Logan, the other movie high on my early year must-see list is Kong: Skull Island, which has been putting out some amazing blockbuster promos. Looking like a combination of Apocalypse Now and Predator, the film is essentially a prequel to the Kong stories we all know, but it doesn't look bogged down in mythology. In fact, it can't get too mired in continuity because it's setting up an eventual crossover movie with Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It looks awesome, the cast is incredible, and with the film only days away from arriving one more trailer sets out to get us even more excited.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts in his big jump to major studio flicks, it stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Jing Tian, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, and Thomas Mann as part of an expedition to the mysterious island home of the giant ape. But Kong's not the only alpha predator there they must contend with as other dangerous creatures have made the island their home.

Kong: Skull Island opens March 10th.
