Jeff Goldblum & Jenny Slate Enter 'Hotel Artemis', Boyd Holbrook Takes Dual Roles In 'Two/One'
After writing Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation, Drew Pearce knows a thing or two about working on major films with A-list stars. And he's making sure that's exactly what he has for his directorial debut, Hotel Artemis, which has now cast Jeff Goldblum, Jenny Slate, Charlie Day, and Sterling K. Brown to join Jodie Foster, Sofia Boutella, and Dave Bautista. The futuristic sci-fi movie is set in a criminal universe where a character known as "The Nurse" (Foster) runs an underground hospital taking of Los Angeles' worst villains, only to discover that one of her patients is there to assassinate another. Slate will be seen next in the Sundance comedy, Landline, while Goldblum has Thor: Ragnarok.
Boyd Holbrook, last seen getting sliced up by X-23 in Logan, has joined the high-concept film, Two/One. Directed by Juan Cabral in his directorial debut, the story follows two men, one in China and another in Canada. These complete strangers are connected in a unique way; when one man is awake, the other is asleep, and they dream one another's lives. Holbrook will take on both roles. He'll be seen soon in Shane Black's Predator sequel. [THR]
