Colin Farrell's Got The Fire In Trailer For 'The Killing Of A Sacred Deer'

Not everything about Yorgos Lanthimos and Colin Farrell's first collaboration, The Lobster, worked as it should have. But a lot of it did, and that part of the film was surreal, funny, and created an imaginative world that felt fully-realized. It looks like their second effort together, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, will be just as atmospheric, only in a way that is considerably more ominous.

Farrell stars as a charismatic surgeon whose life starts to fall apart and he's forced to make a terrible sacrifice after a boy he takes in turns sinister. That boy is played by Barry Keoghan, who you may recall from Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. Nicole Kidman, Alicia Silverstone, Raffey Cassidy, Sunny Suljic, and Bill Camp co-star.

I didn't think Ellie Goulding's "Burn" could sound quite so scary. Maybe I'm crazy but I'm picking up a Funny Games kind of vibe, and if that's the case then this is a film I'm going to like. The Killing of a Sacred Deer opens October 27th.
