'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' Trailer: Being Bad Looks Kinda Fun
Do we really need a sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service? The answer is that we probably don't. Like all of Mark Millar's comics and the adaptations that followed, they come out blazing, tearing into whatever genre needs a good ripping (Wanted elevated action, Kick-Ass mocked superheroes, Kingsman the spy genre), and then they become pretty irrelevant; the point made. So do we need Kingsman: The Golden Circle? Nah, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't look like a ton of fun. If it's going to happen, this is how I want it done.
The first sequel in Matthew Vaughn's career ramps up the superstar factor to insane levels, and that will undoubtedly be matched by gonzo action and extreme cheekiness that will put James Bond to shame. The returning Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, and Colin Firth are joined by Jeff Bridges, Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, and Sir Elton John with the action moving stateside. Here's the synopsis:
When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy…
Kingsman: The Golden Circle opens September 22nd. Check out the new trailer below.
