'The Death Of Stalin' Trailer: It's Safe To Laugh At Russians Again

If you find HBO's Veep a welcome satirical break from the Presidential toilet bowl that is our reality, then you must love the work of its creator, Armando Ianucci. The man behind The Thick of It and the Oscar-nominated In the Loop is getting some of the best reviews of his career for his latest, The Death of Stalin, which takes a humorous and timely look at the Soviets. Yeah, those guys are in the news alright.

Based on Fabien Nury's graphic novel, the comedy centers on the chaos that erupts among the Soviet after Joseph Stalin's death in 1953. The cast is pretty great, too, with Jeffrey Tambor, Jason Isaacs,  Steve Buscemi, Michael Palin, Simon Russell Beale, Andrea Riseborough (There she is again! *stoked*), Rupert Friend, Paddy Considine, and more filling out the seats of power.

The Death of Stalin opens in the U.K. next month, but we'll have to wait a while longer. Uh, we could really use it right now, tho.
