I'll say one thing, this might sound stupid but I'm betting it'll be far better than the Da Vinci Code was. Warner Brothers is on track to turn the pioneering Italian artist, Leonardo Da Vinci into one badass mofo. The studio has picked up a treatment titled Leonardo Da Vinci and the Soldiers of Forever. I'm assuming that title will be shortened. I hope. Da Vinci will be presented as the member of a secret society(wasn't he in real life?) "who falls headlong into a supernatural adventure that pits the man against Biblical demons in a story involving secret codes, lost civilizations, hidden fortresses and fallen angels."
Sounds kinda cool, actually. It's described as a combination of National Treasure(ugh), Raiders of the Lost Ark(yay!), and Clash of The Titans(huh??).
I like the comparison to National Treasure over the stale and heavy The Da Vinci Code. It's clear this is going to be a fun adventure flick in the vein of Sherlock Holmes. Could prove to be a winner.
No writer has been attached to the film as of yet. More details in the upcoming weeks.
