The highest selling comic book in Italian history is coming to the big screen, and I for one can't wait. Dylan Dog: Dead of Night stars Superman himself, Brandon Routh, as a paranormal invesigator who's life is full of monsters, vampires, and powerful ancient artifacts. When Dylan heads to New Orleans for a little rest and relaxation, he soon discovers that it's not so easy to escape the crazy world he's become a part of.
Dylan Dog was first published back in 1986, created by Tiziano Sclavi, and has been published consistently ever since. The film version is being directed by Kevin Munroe, who gave us the animated TMNT film back in 2007. I'm seriously diggin' this trailer, which looks like a combination of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Warehouse 13, and any number of cheesy monster themed TV series.
The film doesn't have a firm release date here in the States yet, but it's expected some time late in 2010. Check out the trailer below and as always let us know what you think.
