The Comic-Con footage has finally been released, and I'm definitely getting a War of the Worlds
vibe, but the visuals are reminiscent of District 9
. It's amazing what can be accomplished with less money nowadays. There's not much that happens throughout most of it, but that final scene breathtaking and hints at a larger story at play. The Brothers Strause will be familiar to most people as directors of Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. Some people like to say it was the "good" AvP film, which to me is like saying you prefer to eat fresh dog poop than stale dog poop. Whatever. I like the look of this one, so expect further updates on it from us here. Skyline is due out on November 11th, 2010. Probably won't get a large theatrical run, but Relativity Media has already struck a deal with Netflix to stream the film almost immediately following. SYNOPSIS
