The cast of next year's Mission: Impossible 4 is rounding into a nice shape. Alongside Tom Cruse will be Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg. I'd go to see those five do drywall, much less star in one of the better action franchises in recent memory. The only thing that was missing was a villain. After the inspired choice of Philip Seymour Hoffman last time around, the expectation was for Paramount to do something similar and they have, bringing in Michael Nyqvist to be their nemesis.
Nyqvist is best known for playing Mikael Blomqvist in the Swedish version of
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and
The Girl Who Played with Fire
.
This kinda bugs me a little bit. First Noomi Rapace gets her first major American role in the Sherlock Holmes sequel, now this. It'd be nice if people actually saw these great actors in something with subtitles. Whatever. Maybe this will motivate people a little bit.
