Sure Shots: Black Widow; Wanted 2; Expulsion

* There's been speculation even before her appearance in Iron Man 2 that Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow might be getting her own spinoff series. Kevin Feige, Marvel's el presidente, seems to think it's a good idea.  "We've already started discussions with Scarlett about the idea of a solo movie and have begun putting together concepts, but 'The Avengers' comes first." No shit, Sherlock. Obviously The Avengers is the priority. I just hope Marvel remembers what happened the last time they spun off a popular female character from one of their big superhero flicks.

* Wanted creator Mark Millar doesn't seem too concerned if a sequel to the film ever gets off the ground. Angelina Jolie has already backed out, which deprives it of it's biggest moneymaker. James McAvoy is confirmed, with rumors of Kristen Stewart(last I heard, anyway) possibly in contention for a role. There hasn't been much movement at all since. Millar says, "There's no book [for] 'Wanted 2.' I would like to do [the movie]. I say if it happens, great. If it doesn't, I'm not bothered". Hey, if he's not concerned then I won't be either.

* Warner Brothers might be looking for a replacement high concept sci-fi flick in case Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity falls flat. They've just picked up screenwriter Gregg Hurwitz's Expulsion, about a group of people who flee to another planet after a terrorist attack destroys Earth. Hurwitz is best known as a writer of crime fiction novels and comic books(Wolverine, Moon Knight).
