I'm getting all worked up just thinking about it. Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet have signed on to Roman Polanski's next film, God of Carnage, about two sets of parents who meet after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl. Both sets of parents begin insulting the parenting skills of the others, before eventually turning on themselves and dealing with their own issues. Christoph Waltz(Inglourious Basterds) and Matt Dillon(Armored) will play their husbands.
Shooting is set to begin in February in Paris, even though the story takes place in Brooklyn. Why? Because Polanski will likely find himself locked up in a prison trading cigarettes for his life if he steps one foot on American soil. God of Carnage is based on the Tony award winning play by Yasmina Reza, which ran for 452 performances on Broadway.
No chance of a Foster/Winslet catfight, is there? Anybody who's seen the play, will you please confirm? Thanks.
