Kinda sucks for Dylan Baker, who spent three movies quietly mentoring Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker as Dr. Curt Connors, waiting for his Lizard transformation to finally take place. It likely would've been Spider-Man 4 if all had stayed as it was.
The Lizard is one of Spider-Man's most enduring villains. Dr. Curt Connors was a gifted surgeon in the military who lost in arm in battle. When he returned to the States, he became obsessed with the regenerative qualities in lizards and devised a formula using reptile DNA. His arm regrew, but the side effect was that it turned him into a monstrous humanoid lizard. Spider-Man helped Connors control The Lizard personality, and Connors eventually became a teacher at Empire State University with Peter Parker as his teaching assistant. He continues to struggle with The Lizard personality.
