) just passed on Warner Brothers' proposed crime drama, Gangster Squad. The flick, which followed a special unit created to stand up against an influx of mobsters, was pretty much the only thing stopping him from directing Wolverine 2. Assuming Aronofsky signs he'll be reuniting with Hugh Jackman, star of his film The Fountain 
back in 2006.
