Deadline is reporting that Noomi Rapace(The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Carey Mulligan are both top contenders to snag the lead role in Ridley Scott's upcoming prequel to Alien. Rapace is said to have already met with Fox and Ridley Scott, leaving a "memorable impression" on all involved. No word on if Mulligan has already tested.
Can we have both? Please? Honestly I'll be happy with either. Scott set the standard for creating strong female action heroes with Sigourney Weaver, and would love to see him do it again.
