Sure Shots: Fantastic Voyage; Tower Heist; New Year's Eve

A few quick notes...

* Not long after discovering that the James Cameron produced remake of Fantastic Voyage had landed screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis to polish the draft, it appears a director may have been nailed down also. Louis Letterier, who most recently headed up Clash of the Titans for Warner Brothers earlier this year, is apparently Cameron's top choice for the gig. Even though Cameron was critical of how Clash of the Titans looked, he's said to blame the studio for that moreso than Letterier. He's got a point, since it wasn't Letterier who tacked on that lousy looking 3D.

* Tea Leoni(Bad Boys) has joined the cast of Brett Ratner's awful sounding buddy heist comedy, Tower Heist. She'll be joining Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller in the film about two guys who rob a highrise luxury apartment as a means of getting payback against a wealthy businessman. I love me some Tea Leoni. She has probably the best comedic timing of any hot chick in Hollywood. But not even she can make me want to see this junk.

* More Glee kids are moving up the big leagues, as Lea Michele(Rachel Berry on the hit Fox show) is reportedly in talks to join New Year's Eve, the proposed sequel to Valentine's Day. The likely Garry Marhall directed rom-com doesnt' have a script yet, so details are limited, but expect it to feature another star-studded cast of hot folks who can't find dates before the big day. It still sounds like 200 Cigarettes to me.
