The first trailer for William Monahan's directorial debut, London Boulevard, has been released and I'm already lovin' it. Monahan, the Oscar winning screenwriter of The Departed, adapted Ken Bruen's 2001 novel about a reclusive actress(Keira Knightley) who hires an ex-con(Colin Farrell) to act as her bodyguard. Problems soon arise, not the least of which are their growing feelings towards eachother. London Boulevard will open in the UK later this month, but I don't think we have a firm date here as of yet. Expect it some time in the 1st quarter of 2011.
