Tops at the Box Office

1. Tron Legacy- $43.6M
The fanboys were out in force during the final pre-Christmas weekend. 28 years after Tron debuted to $4.8M on it's way to a $33M run, the long awaited Disney sequel has already topped that, but attendance figures were much different back then. Legacy was aided by a whopping 82% of it's total gross coming from 3D showings, surpassing Avatar's 71% from last year.
2. Yogi Bear- $16.7M
I guess people like Chipmunks better than they do talking bears. The live-action/animated flick based on the popular Hanna-Barbara cartoon opened at roughly 1/4 the debut of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Not even big name stars like Justin Timberlake and Anna Faris were much of a draw.

3. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader- $12.4M/$42.8M
Last week's leader tumbled 48% and maintains a distant 3rd place in comparison to the two previous Narnia flicks.
4. The Fighter- $12.2M/$12.6M
Not exactly a knockout, more like a majority decision victory as the fight flick expanded to nationwide after a limited run last week. Expect this one to have considerable staying power thanks to the many Oscar contending performances, and that sports dramas such as this tend to perform well throughout the holiday season.
5. The Tourist- $8.7M/$30.8M
Apparently nobody was up for a return trip.
6. Tangled- $8.68M/$128M
Was hurt by the loss of many of it's 3D screens to studiomate, Tron Legacy, but Disney's animated flick continues to succeed due to strong word of mouth.
7. Black Swan- $8.3M/$15.7M
Still hasn't cracked 1000 sites, but Darren Aronofsky's wild ballet film continues to rack up impressive numbers in limited release.
8. How Do You Know- $7.6M
Yikes! A lot has been made of the whopping $120M budget for this seemingly inexpensive rom-com, and this is exactly why. The combined salaries of the four stars totaled a crushing $50M, which will likely far exceed any amount this movie comes close to earning.
9. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 1- $4.84M/$266M
10. Unstoppable- $1.8M/$77.3M
