Just a few weeks after having the role of Mary Todd, Abe Lincoln's wifey in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, stolen out from under her by Mary ElizabethWinstead, Robin McLeavy(The Loved Ones) has managed to work her way back into the movie anyway. According to Deadline, the up and coming actress will be be tackling another female figure close to the President's heart. She'll be playing Lincoln's mother, who's sudden murder at the hands of vampires sets him on his killing ways.
Of the two Seth Graham-Smith adaptations(the other Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) currently being produced, Vampire Hunter is the only one that's really gotten the ball rolling. The majority of the primary cast has been filled at this point: Benjamin Walker as Lincoln; joined by Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, and Jimmi Simpson. Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor was rumored to be up for the part of the vampire that killed Lincoln's mother, but recently shot those reports down.
Timur Bekmambetov(Night Watch) begins shooting the 3D flick next month, with a planned June 22nd 2012 release date.
