Harold...er, John Cho joins Total Recall remake

Sometimes I marvel at just how far John Cho has come as an actor. After tiny but memorable bit roles in the first couple American Pie movies("She's a milf!"), he proved to be more than just a gifted comedic actor as part of Justin Lin's Better Luck Tomorrow. Of course now we best recognize him from the Harold and Kumar flicks, and now we can throw Star Trek onto the list. But while Star Trek 2 appears to be a ways away, Cho is making sure he stays in the sci-fi spotlight by signing on to fiddle with Colin Farrell's head in the Total Recall remake.

Len Wiseman(Underworld) is directing, with Colin Farrell starring as Douglas Quaid, a guy who may be living a double life as a spy. Bryan Cranston is the bad guy, Vilos Cohaagen. Kate Beckinsale is Quaid's wife, Lori. Jessica Biel is Melina, a member of the resistance and potential love interest. Bill Nighy is the resistance leader, Quatto.  As for Cho, he plays McClane, who convinces Quaid to have his memories screwed around with in the first place, jumpstarting the story.

Total Recall is set to hit next summer on August 3rd, and while I was skeptical at first the cast is starting to shift my opinion a little bit.
