* Terrence Malick's
The Tree of Life opens in limited release today, but in DC next week so expect the review then. While Malick was meticulously piecing together the ambitious project, we also started to hear bits and pieces of another film he was working on, a documentary titled
Voyage of Time which would feature his Tree of Life star Brad Pitt as narrator. Now according to producer Bill Polhad speaking to the
LA Times has confirmed what we already knew, including that the subject will encompass a number of the same grand themes and cosmic footage from The Tree of Life. Count me in.
* If you just couldn't get enough of Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell in
The Other Guys
, then chances are you were pretty excited when
it was learned that the two would team back up for the football comedy,
Turkey Bowl. The film surrounds an annual tackle football game between two rival families for bragging rights. All we knew at the time was that Ferrell and Adam McKay were producing, and that Alec Baldwin was already involved as Wahlberg's father. Now thanks to a story run in
EW, we know that the title is looking to be changed to Three Mississippi, and that Rob Riggle(
The Hangover
) and Jeremy Renner(
The Hurt Locker
) will probably be part of the big celebrity football game.
