The Wolfpack is back before they ever left: Craig Mazin hired to write The Hangover Part III

What'd you expect? Despite critics not only throwing The Hangover Part II under the bus but backing over it a few times with scathing reviews, the film debuted to an absurd $135M. I personally enjoyed it, even recognizing that it's little more than an imitation of the original hit film. The people hath spoken, and Warner Brothers is listening, as The Wrap reports that Craig Mazin has been hired to pen the Wolfpack's third misadventure.

Mazin co-wrote the sequel, so he's more than familiar with the gang and their antics. Even if Mazin's recent filmography(Superhero Movie, Scary Movie 3) doesn't exactly lend itself to a lot of confidence, Mazin has a working history with director Todd Phillips(from School for Scoundrels) which likely aided in the hiring. The only questions left are: Where will the film take place? And will Alan(Zach Galifianakis) be the one getting hitched next time?

There's been some comments from the cast that perhaps the next film will take place in the weed smokin' capital of the universe: Amsterdam. Yeah, I can see the red light district as fertile ground for more sexually depraved hijinks.

So what do you think? Did you like The Hangover Part II? Are you excited for a threequel, even if it's more of the same?
