Paul W. S. Anderson(can't forget the W.S.) can't help it that all of his movies look the same. Y'know, kinda like he just took any one of his
Resident Evil
movies, replaced the lifeless zombies with lifeless actors(like his wife, Milla Jojovich) and prays nobody notices. Even
Death Race
had the same vibe to it. All it needed was a few zombie mutts trailing behind the armored up racers.
Turning his attention to the classics now, Anderson's take on
The Three Musketeers
is due out on October 14th. On paper it's not a bad idea, and the cast is solidly full of talented actors prone to disturbing career choices: Logan Lerman(
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
), Milla Jojovich(
Resident Evil
everything), Ray Stevenson(
Punisher War Zone
), Christoph Waltz(
The Green Hornet
), Matthew MacFadyen(
Robin Hood
), Luke Evans(
Tamara Drewe
), the awesome Mads Mikkelsen(
Clash of the Titans
), Juno Temple(
Year One
), and Orlando Bloom(
Haven
). The first poster has been released for the film, and frankly it's not very good. It looks like something
Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold
crapped out and did away with.
Somewhere, Alexandre Dumas is not pleased.
