Just yesterday we got our first look at In Time, the latest high concept sci-fi pic from Andrew Niccol(Gattaca). Today there are three slick new posters, and a sweet four minute clip that is essentially a trailer introducing us to the effed up world the story inhabits. In Time posits a future society in which aging has been ceased. Nobody grows old, but in order to stay alive you must buy time. That sets up a lopsided society in which the rich can afford to live forever while the poor struggle for life. Justin Timberlake stars as a poor man who goes on the run with a hostage(Amanda Seyfried) when he's accused of murder after inheriting a huge bank of time.
Yep, definitely looks like a future version of The Fugitive
. In a good way, mind you. I'm surprised by how un-science fiction the whole thing appears, with the exception of the constantly counting down clocks on everybody's arms. In Time hits theaters on October 28th, and I'm gonna call "sleeper" right now.[IGN via ThePlaylist]
