Grain of salt time, folks. I personally don't believe we'll ever see a Ghostbusters 3. I don't think it can happen without Bill Murray, truly the only reason those movies were any good to begin with, and he's doing everything in his power to not be involved with it. I don't blame him, either. Out of everybody he's the only one who still has a viable career. Months ago I promised not to comment on any stories involving it until I saw an actual greenlight it was happening, but this rumor's too interesting to pass up.
According to BloodyDisgusting, Columbia Pictures is looking at the possibility of Aziz Ansari being a part of the film. In what capacity, I have no idea, but since the story supposedly deals with a new generation of Ghostbusting freaks, it seems likely he'd be one. Ansari is a terribly polarizing presence on pretty much every film he's been a part of. I thought his brief appearance in Judd Apatow'sFunny People
This doesn't mean he's been made an offer. It doesn't really mean anything except some guy in a suit mentioned Ansari's name in a meeting or something Not that it matters. Like I said, this film will never happen. It's the Loch Ness monster of Hollywood right now. A lot of people talking about it; a lot of people claiming to know about it; nobody actually has proof of it's existence.
