In case you've somehow missed all the giant billboards and set pieces in the middle of your local movie theater, Taylor Lautner has an action movie coming out. It's called Abduction. Yeah, I know, sucky title, but what can y'do? The film stars the shirtless wonder as a guy who discovers his picture on a missing person's website, which I'm guessing made for some awkward dinner conversation with the parentals.(Maria Bello and Jason Isaacs). For whatever reason, he soon after finds himself on the run from a bunch of trained killers. Lily Collins(The Blind Side
) is his neighbor, dragged along for the ride. A new trailer has been released ahead of the film's September 23rd release, and it's not nearly as effective as the first one. We get a lot less of Lautner showing his butt kicking skills, which is really the film's only true selling point. Check it out below...
John Singleton(Higher Learning
) directed, and I think he's better when doing unabashed action fluff like this(and 2 Fast 2 Furious
) than when trying to make a message movie. This one could turn out better than initially thought.
