If you were totally unfamiliar with the Underworld franchise, a look at this latest poster for the latest film wouldn't tell you a hell of a lot. You wouldn't think even for a second it had to do with vampires and werewolves fighting for survival against the humans trying to wipe them out. What you might come away thinking is that it looks like Kate Beckinsale starring in some sort of Max Payne sequel or something.
Directed by the Swedish duo of Bjorn Stein and Mans Marlind, the film marks the return of Selene(Beckinsale), frozen for more than a decade and released into a totally unfamiliar world where the vampires are no longer the hunters, but the hunted. Underworld: Awakening will hit theaters on January 20th 2012.
