When the people behind Snow White and the Huntsman first started talking up the film, they began by saying the aim was for a Lord of the Rings type experience, both visually and in scope. It's the sort of comment that I brush aside pretty easily. Everybody says stuff like that, because who wouldn't want to be mentioned in the same breath as probably the greatest fantasy series of all time? And then yesterday we got our first real look at what 'Huntsman' was bringing to the table and it looks just like those Peter Jackson classics, with broad epic action, fantastic creatures and fierce warriors. This is not your daddy's Snow White.
And now as the marketing heats up even more, Universal has cranked out four new character posters, one of which gives us our first real glimpse at the seven dwarves.
Kristen Stewart stars as Snow White, with Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman who trains her to fight against her mother, the Evil Queen(Charlize Theron). Sam Claflin, Sam Spruell, Eddie Marsan, Toby Jones, Bob Hoskins, Eddie Izzard, Nick Frost, Ray Winstone, Johnny Harris, and Ian McShane co-star. I'm pretty hyped for this one, but we've got to wait until next summer on June 1st.
