Bret Easton Ellis knows who he wants to star in the American Psycho remake
If an American Psycho remake is going to happen, chances are it's going to be cheap piece of crap starring people you don't know or care about. It probably won't even turn up in a theater, but quietly slipped onto Netflix where you'll discover a couple of years after the fact, then watch when feeling particularly generous. Written and directed by unknown Noble Jones(!?!), we've heard nothing but groans from the fanboy community about it, but one person we haven't heard anything from was the book's author, Bret Easton Ellis.
Ellis took to Twitter and revealed his choices to take on the Patrick Bateman role made famous by Christian Bale, and his picks are terrible, even if they sorta make sense....
"I have warned Lionsgate that I will not approve a new version of 'American Psycho' unless it stars SCOTT DISICK or MILES FISHER."
Disick is a dead ringer for Bale, but he's really only famous for knocking up Kourtney Kardashian a couple of times and appearing on that televised filth of a reality show they have. Miles Fisher looks more like a young Tom Cruise, and impersonated the actor in the awful Superhero Movie. He recently had a small role in J. Edgar, so at least he's a legit actor with reason for his success.
Disick heard about the film and tweeted his excitement....
"just heard there doin a remake of American Psycho!" best news I have ever heard! i hope they call me!"
With the plan to bring Patrick Bateman into the modern era of reality TV and celebritards like Disick, I wouldn't be surprised if Lionsgate actually went in his direction on this. The film isn't going to appeal to many folks, anyway, so why not try to drum up some buzz in any way possible? There's no such thing as bad press, right? Maybe, just maybe, we'll get a chance to see one of(maybe all!) of the Kardashians ripped up by a chainsaw.[Vulture]
