1st look at Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell in 'The Campaign'

With the ridiculous crop of yahoos the Grand Ol' Party has running for President this year, you'd think the campaign season couldn't get any funnier than it already is. Well, you'd be wrong. This August 10th sees the release of The Campaign, formerly known as Southern Rivals and then Dog Fight. The political comedy has Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as two rival politicians doing whatever it takes to win votes in a very small, North Carolina congressional district.

Entertainment Weekly has our first image of Ferrell and Galifianakis, with Ferrell looking like he went to the Mitt Romney school for robots trying to pass as human. As if the two stars didn't already make this a film worth keeping a close eye on, it's directed by Jay Roach, the man behind HBO's two amazing(although funny and a bit angering) political films, Recount and Game Change. Dan Akroyd, Dylan McDermott, Jason Sudeikis, Brian Cox, and Katherine LaNasa round out a strong supporting cast.
