The 'Bill & Ted 3' script is completed; Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter apparently both love it
So Keanu Reeves was a little bit off when he said last year that the script for Bill & Ted 3 was still six weeks away. He was like eleven months off. You can do better than that, Neo. Whatever, the point is that here and now the script appears to be completed, and gosh darnit, both Keanu Reeves and that other guy(just kidding, it's Alex Winter) both loving it.
Reeves and Winter must still be close buds, because they dropped statements expressing their like of the script on the same day. Reeves, speaking to The Independent, was his usual reserved self, saying...
Reeves: "Yeah, we have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script too."
On the other hand, Winter sounded more excited on his Twitter feed. Not surprising since he's been out of the spotlight since...when was that terrible MTV show he had?
Winter: "Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!"
The original writers, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, came back to pen the film, with Reeves telling us last year that the story would have the two time traveling high school goofs writing the rock song that saves the world. Eventually they'll be forced to jump in their time machine phone booth to meet some of history's greatest figures.
Ok, as people continue to work themselves into a froth over Ghostbusters 3, I'm much more excited about Bill & Ted. A year ago I wasn't, but then I also didn't think it would ever happen. Now as it's looking like more of a possibility, it could be hilarious to see where those two slackers are twenty years later.
