Trailer Time: 'Kyurem vs. the Sacred Swordsman: Keldeo'
Pokemon is no longer the juggernaut it once was, but there was a time where those little creatures who hatched out of those weird red balls ruled not only Japan but America as well. The first Pokemon film released in 1999 made over $160M worldwide, with the United States kicking in over half of it, and opening the floodgates to way too many cartoons and video games. The last few movies have all hovered around the $50M mark, still successful enough that you can pretty much count on a new one every year or so.
Still, it's amazing to think that the latest film, Kyurem vs. The Sacred Swordsman: Keldeo is the 15th animated Pokemon feature. What it's about? I have no idea, but like all of the others it'll feature the main characters facing off against a Legendary Pokemon. Probably setting up the next sequel, a new Pokemon will be introduced in a preceding short film.
Kyurem vs. the Sacred Swordsman: Keldeo will open in Japan on July 14th, and you can bet a limited US release will follow. Check out the trailer below....
