Trailer Time: 'ParaNorman', featuring the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee and Casey Affleck
Tim Burton doesn't have the market cornered on weird and freaky animated features. The guys over at Laika studios seem to have a pretty good grasp on it as well, with 2009's Coraline being one of the year's most refreshing films. And now they're back again with ParaNorman, which seems to be right in the same ballpark.
Kodi Smit-McPhee(The Road) voices Norman, a local boy the rest of the townsfolk look at as a little different than everybody else. That's because he is, with the ability to see and talk to dead people. When the town falls under a terrible curse, Norman is the only one who can save the day, taking on zombies, ghosts, and other creatures of the night. Casey Affleck, John Goodman, Jeff Garlin, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Leslie Mann lend their voices to the film. Sam Fell(Flushed Away) and Chris Butler directed, with a release set for August 17th.
Between this and Burton's Frankenweenie, we're gonna be in stop-motion heaven this year. Check out what is the third trailer for ParaNorman below...
