Trailer Time: 'Step Up Revolution', starring....I don't know these people

"You dance well for a gringa"! Y'know, there's a way to make movies about young people dancing in the streets at the drop of a hat credible. The Footloose remake proved that it could be done. Yet everytime one of these damn Step Up movies comes out they just look absurd, and part of the reason is the crushing seriousness of it all. If dancing could change the friggin' world we'd all be Savion Glover, but that's not the case, and listening to a bunch of barely actors try and sell that line of bull is laughable.

The first trailer for Step Up Revolution has emerged, the fourth film in the franchise that helped launch Channing Tatum's career. He's since moved on, while everybody else, including our beloved Briana Evigan, has mostly fallen off the map or failed to find other movies where shaking their ass under a rainstorm is required.  The plot(ha ha ha!) again has the daughter of some stiff ass rich dude joining a dance crew to stop her father from....taking over the world or something. Not sure. There's flash mobs, some Thomas Crown-style antics, and novel use of bungee cords. Oh, and there's Moose! Ok, I like Moose. Not gonna lie. But where's Alyson Stoner?

Step Up Revolution opens on July 27th. Check out the trailer below....
