'The Hunger Games' co-star Leven Rambin joins 'Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters'

As The Hunger Games rumbles past $300M, anyone remotely affiliated with the film is seeing a career boost, even those mostly unknowns who filled the roles of the Tributes in the deadly competition. Leven Rambin, who played Glimmer, the sexy career Tribute from District 1, has jumped from one young adult franchise to another by joining the cast of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters where she again will play a battle hardened warrior.

Variety reports that Lambin will take on the role of Clarisse LaRue, one of the many children of Ares, the God of War. She's described as a hot-headed perfectionist who doesn't really care for Percy all that much. Logan Lerman is back to reprise the Percy Jackson role, joined by Brandon T. Jackson. Alexandra Daddario, Anthony Stewart Head, Nathan Fillion, Douglas Smith, Mary Birdsong, Missi Pyle, and Yvette Nicole Brown. Thor Freudenthal will take over for Chris Columbus as director, with Columbus now serving as producer.

Filming is set to begin in a few days in Vancouver, for a March 27th 2013 release.
