Sure Shots: Tina Fey; Steve Carell; Leonardo DiCaprio

* Nancy Meyers usually takes on directing some new chick flick about once every three years, and now she's lined up two over the course of three days. She recently lined up Felicity Jones to star in a new dramedy titled The Chelsea, and now Deadline reports Tina Fey will star in The Intern, which Meyers will both write and direct. The story follows a successful founder of an E-commerce company who undertakes a program to bring on seniors as interns. Only they aren't high school or college seniors, they are actually senior citizens. It's unclear which project will go first, but the plan is to shoot in early 2013 to leave plenty of time for Fey to complete her numerous other commitments.

* How many comedies can one man attach himself to? If you're Steve Carell there are apparently no limits, as he's joined yet another one. Deadline reports he'll next star in an untitled mob comedy alongside Jake Johnson, and directed by Max Winkler(Ceremony). Johnson is currently starring in the Zooey Deschanel series, New Girl, and will be seen in Safety Not Guaranteed(review here) opposite Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass. As for Carell, he's going to be everywhere over the next year. He'll be back for Anchorman 2; will star in an adaptation of Magic Kingdom for Sale-SOLD!; will lend his voice to Despicable Me 2; he'll star in Charlie Kaufman's Frank or Francis; is currently filming Incredible Burt Wonderstone with Jim Carrey; and earlier this week was said to be circling Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Oh, and let's not forget he'll star with Keira Knightley in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, due out on June 22nd. Carell overload?

* Leonardo DiCaprio has already starred in one Dennis Lehane adaptation with Shutter Island, and now it looks like he may be on board for one more. Warner Brothers has picked up the rights to Lehane's upcoming novel, Live by Night, with plans of having DiCaprio as the lead. Details are scarce at this point, but one look at Lehane's track record should give you an idea of what to expect. Lehane is the author of Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone, and was part of the writing staff on HBO's The Wire.
