Time to get offended. Ken Jeong joins Michael Bay's 'Pain and Gain'

Pretty much anytime Ken Jeong signs up for any film, especially when his character is named something like Johnny Wu, expect for the especially sensitive members of the Asian community to be up in arms over his portrayal. After a particularly irritating appearance as Jerry Wang(>sigh<) in Michael Bay's last Transformers film, he'll turn up next in the director's small scale heist film, Pain and Gain.

What part the Johnny Wu character plays in the dark crime comedy are still unclear, with the story based on the true story of a pair of Miami Beach bodybuilders(Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson) who kidnap a rich guy(Tony Shalhoub) and leave him for dead after robbing him, only to have him survive and start calling in favors. Ed Harris, Rebel Wilson, Tony Plana, Anthony Mackie, and Rob Corddry co-star.

Jeong can be good in small doses, like in The Hangover. So I have no idea how people tolerate him every week on Community. Pain and Gain just started shooting down in Miami, and is looking for a release some time next year. [THR]
