Has the world gone backwards and nobody told me? Jason Statham does not turn down action movie roles. Does he? I mean it doesn't SEEM like he does, but maybe we've pegged him wrong all along? You might recall that last October Statham saw his name mentioned for two major franchises that seem like a perfect fit for his grim faced talents. One was in Michael Bay's next Transformers film, and the other was to join the next two Fast and the Furious movies, leading to a battle royale of epic proportions between him, Vin Diesel, and Dwayne Johnson.
Well he flat out denied the Transformers rumors, and now Twitch says that a deal to join Fast Six couldn't be reached. Wha??? I seriously hope he wasn't playing hard ball at the negotiating table.
Whatever. It's not like Statham doesn't have a shit ton of movies coming out, like The Expendables 2, Safe, and Parker. I just find it funny that the guy who starred in The Transporter three friggin' times couldn't find his way into another franchise that's all about cars.
