Animated Tonka Trucks movie rolls onto the big screen

If you thought the dud that was Battleship meant the end of Hasbro bringing anymore of their games and toys to the big screen, you thought wrong. We already know that Universal gave them the boot, only to see Hasbro keep the dream alive by themselves. Now they've hooked up with Sony Animation and Happy Madison to bring Tonka Trucks into your favorite movie theater.

Wait, Happy Madision? Isn't that Adam Sandler's joint? Yep, it is. It's not that much of a shock, as he's actually co-writing the Candy Land movie that's in the works as well. He'll probably turn up as a giant, unfunny lollipop or something. I don't think I need to explain to you what Tonka Trucks are, but you can probably expect them to be talking or something. The film will be completely animated, so expect a ton of Sandler's buddies doing voice over.

I know right now this sounds awful, but let's wait and see who ends up directing and writing this thing before we trash it too much. [Deadline]
